Your take-out has a new makeover! To help us reuse resources, the City of Alameda took a bold step by prohibiting the use of polystyrene foam, Styrofoam disposal food service ware. Effective July 1, 2008, food vendors and restaurants in the City of Alameda must use compostable or recyclable to-go containers.
